Oxford Kids Camp Mission

Oxford Kids Camp creates a community that encourages imagination,  respect, and growth in a fun summer learning environment.

Our Guiding Values

To have an inclusive summer day camp for children, in second through eighth grade in Oxford, Maryland. Priority will be given to camper applicants who reside in Oxford, whose parents work in Oxford, and whose grandparents and/or relatives are hosting them in Oxford. The camp seeks to support applicants from underserved communities.

To inspire new interests and help youngsters develop emotionally,  artistically, physically, and intellectually, in a positive and stimulating environment.

Our Program

Emphasize play, knowledge, and skills important for young people to experience outdoor activities safely and with self-confidence.

Foster a sense of wonder in and appreciation and care of the natural world,  and allow campers to explore, become aware of their surroundings, and experience self-reliance.

Interact with the resources of Oxford, and in so doing, strive to bring a  mutual appreciation and understanding of the community and the campers.

Nitty Gritty

Here are the details, contact OKC if you have any questions!

Weekly enrollment is limited to 50 campers. Campers may enroll  for one to four weeks. Children are eligible to be OK campers if  they are between 6* and 13 years of age (children entering second grade through eighth grade). An OKC Camper must be a  competent bicycle rider and able to understand and obey safe  bicycling rules. The camp gets around by bicycle and uses the  town and environs of Oxford as its campus. Good bicycling skills  are basic to a safe and fun camp experience.

*Campers must have completed first grade and be able to ride a two-wheeled bicycle. Parents are urged not to register young children for a camp experience they may not be ready to handle.
